More kirtles, this time from Gutterpup

If you're like me and flounce around the various Gorean markets out there as a way to see what smaller designers are churning out, you're bound to have seen Gutterpup. Gutterpup designs some awesome camisks, and I absolutely adore her texture work when doing camisks. So when she told me that she had an entire room full of kirtles, of course I had to run right over and see what she had done. I selected quite a few kirtles but the one that just really tripped my fancy was the Blue Laced Kirtle. Its a simple kirtle, nothing super fancy about it. But it had the trademarked awesome texture work from Gutterpup as well as she kept it Gorean. No extra fluff all over the kirtle, just nice texture work, nice cutouts and the kirtle skirt FITS! This seems hard for silk designers who do the two strips and a bra design to make a skirt that exposes the thighs nicely but also has decent coverage of a kirtle. A kirtle IS cold weather gear after all, and despite this being a sleeveless design with an open bodice, it gives the full bottom coverage that you just cant get in silks.

So for you torvie girls out there, check out the plethora of kirtles available at Gutterpup. You'll be glad you did.

Zyba, fun in a small package

Before new years yours truly was invited at the last minute to a worst serve competition. Now I love a good contest. Especially when I get to act all goofy. So I entered. Not knowing if there was a prize or not but apparantly there was. I placed second (grats to imzadi amaratsu for first place and caspian jameson for third place, well done Piedmont!) For my second place win I got to select 2 free items from a store I've never heard of before. A great chance for me to see what's new in silk design. Now when I go looking at new silk places, I'm a little jaded by now. The basic strip between the legs two armbands and a bra silk style... well it just gets old for me. Its been done already, there are literally hundreds of freebie full perm silks in this design already out there. I dont like wearing them. They dont fit, they dont work on me, and they look like freebie full perm silks. So when I see a new store, a lot of times this is what I expect because I know a lot of new designers know that Goreans like to spend money to look good. I know I do.

So I was pleasantly surprised when I rezzed at Zyba's to find a nice selection of camisks, kirtles as well as silks from the mild to the wild. All over the walls of her lovely warehouse styled store. Its a very nice store and I look forward to seeing what more she comes up with because I'm very impressed with this designer's work. Camisks I've found can be done in one of two ways. Either 1, the designer makes a very short tank dress, or 2. they put some effort into their design with creative straps, cutouts or yummy textures. This camisk I'm wearing is called the Wench Camisk. And boy do I feel like a wench! Its dangerously high cut on the thighs, revealing your bits even when you stand up. So for the more modest sims, this camisk might not be the best selection for you. But for the slutkins among us, and I know you're all out there salivating at the mouth for a yummy tempting camisk, this one's for you. The lovely cutout detailing across the bodice is a great touch that makes this camisk look unique as well as accentuates your best assets.

I wish you the best of luck Zyba in your future endeavors, I love what you've done so far and look forward like a ravenous sleen for more!

More from Juelle!

Ok so maybe I'm showing favouritism here but oh well. I just love what Juelle has been churning out as of late. She is absolutely my favourite camisk designer in SL. Recently Juelle produced a kirtle. Not only just a kirtle but one named thyri. When she told me she made a thyri kirtle I had to run by her store (hey I love her clothes so much I live next door to her store ok its a coincidence my Master lives next door to Juelle's, well she moved but the proximity to Juelles was not influential in any way as to my Master selection process) and see what kind of new yummyness she has developed. When I saw this piece of delicious in her store, I had to have it. Was it name related vanity? Maybe. Was it because this kirtle looks smokin hot? Oh yes.

The thyri kirtle comes in a wide variety of hot colors but I do prefer the basic black and white. You'll probably come to see as I blog more, I do love my black and white.

Camisks camisks and more camisks!

Well finally I got along to blogging like I promised myself. Not too bad for a week after my new year's resolution to start blogging more. I'm going through my inventory to blog on some of my resident favourites as well as to find designers I like blogging about. So, on with the show!

My first entry of the new year is from a very dear friend of mine and a favourite designer. Juelle of Juelle's. Juelle and I have known each other for a year now and I just love the yummy things she's been producing. From silks to absolutely yummy camisks, she's branched out into cold weather gear and kirtles to boots and even some Free Persons wear. Yummy gowns for the women, and very by the book authentic tunics for the men. So enough of raving about my friend, onto what she does well, designing!

My first entry for Juelle is her fun line of camisks with all kinds of fun sayings on them. The camisk itself is an authentic sack cloth kind of design with a basic neck tie. The camisk is modest enough for some prudish sims, but sexy enough to tantalize the most stoic of free men. It dips low on the breasts to have a hint of nipple but you have to look close. Juelle's fun camisks come with many sayings to include "Princess" "I'm with Slut" (a tribute at least I believe to Juelle and my outings together) and many others. The one I'm modelling for you today says "So many Masters, so few who can afford me". I little daring, a little egotistical, but a whole lot of sexy fun. Well done Juelle!

Welcome to a kajira's fashion

Well how do I start. I'm thryi Carver, I'm the slave of Jared Kiergarten in SL. I currently live in the city of Piedmont and I LOVE fashion. Who says a slave on Gor cannot have exquisite fashion sense? Why do I do this? To show kajirae out there that many designers in SL recognize that silks are sexy. But not only silks. I'm one of those evil Goreans who dont run around in silks all day (why would I want to get pretty silk all dirty!) but also know there is a good time for wearing pretty things.

I also am not Gorean all the time. I like good fashion as much as the next person and I love looking fabulous.

I do not blog about skins, because I love the skin I'm in and have no intention of changing it anytime soon. I love pretty skins and they look great, I just really like my look. I dont care if the Minnu skin that I adore wearing has some controversey behind it, I love it, it looks good on me, and I'm keeping it! My shape is my own and I constantly tweak it.

My avi is a small one, registering at about 5'6 on most height checkers. Not quite a child avatar, but I recognize that we're all not model tall at 5'11 and I like being short!

I prefer black hair and I wear almost any kind of silk, camisk, kirtle, ta teera or other slave rags out there.

So why am I blogging? Is it to get free stuff? Goodness no. Will I accept review copies, well I wont turn them away, but recognize that if you send me something to review, it may take up to a week for me to review the item in question. I also am going to be HONEST in my review. If I find something I dont like, I'm going to say I dont like it. I'm grateful people want me to review things, but I do have integrity and if I'm reviewing, thats what I'm doing, its my opinion, my review, and if you get upset if I dont like your texturing, then please dont send me something to review. I may review you anyways in the future if I find something at your place in my travels.

I look forward to showing my passion for fashion with you all!
